Support your Spirit during Covid-19
As we shelter in place here in Southwest Florida, I am grateful to have flowers like this to brighten my days. I think of all of you out there in your various locations enduring all kinds of challenges of this unprecedented situation. It's stressful, scary and overwhelming. But it's also the perfect opportunity to look at things differently and reassess what's important. We can begin to find ways to increase our emotional, spiritual and physical well-being.
The biggest thing for me? I want to help in some way. So I am trying something new.
Last week I initiated two sharing circles with participants from all over the US. Each circle is kept small (about 20 people) so we can really connect. They were so heart-felt, so uplifting, that I decided to make them available on a weekly basis.
These circles are a mini-version of what we do on my Creative Wellbeing Retreats. It is a way for us to come together to honestly and genuinely express the full range of our feelings--fear, gratitude, anger, anxiety, love, exhaustion, hope--they are all valid. As always, this circle is a safe space where conversation is confidential, and mutual respect, topped with a layer of genuine love is our only rule.
I offer a short guided meditation, followed by a 5 minute journaling session and open sharing forum. On retreats we have an art workshop as well, but I haven't figured out how to offer this (yet!).
TO REGISTER: All you have to do is contact us by email with your choice of sessions (Monday pm or Tuesday am) and I will email you back the ZOOM contact link for the session.
Next Sessions:
Monday April 6th -- 5:00-6:30 pm EST.
Tuesday April 7th -- 10-11;30 am EST
ABOUT ZOOM: You don't have to have a zoom account to join, but it is best if you have a laptop or computer equipped with camera and mic (most do). Phones work too, but they are just smaller and the sound is often not as good. If you haven't used zoom before, it is an online meeting app that allows all participants to see and speak to one another. It's pretty cool because each person is represented visually on the screen, so we can see each others faces all together and share a group meditation, as well as individual sharing. BTW--We are password protected and have taken other measures to guard against "zoom bombers" hacking into the group.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call 508,843.8096. I can't wait to see you!
Love,
Sigrid
