A note from Sigrid:
During these past several weeks, thanks to the Corona Virus (and now the nationwide protests calling for an end to systemic racism and police brutality) many of us are experiencing heightened levels of stress and anxiety. The change in our daily way of life permeates everything. Images of violence haunt us. Our minds are restless and serenity seems impossible. We can get so lost in our heads, letting thoughts run rampant like weeds until they choke out any new seedlings of hope that may be sprouting. But one thing I'm sure of--community, connection and meditation can help rekindle hope and equanimity.
For some of us, we this time is an opportunity to lean in and find much-needed rest, contemplation, exercise, and creativity. But for others, the uncertainty has a stranglehold and fear is holding us in its grip. Actually for many of us, this is happening all at once or at various times, on different days. As an antidote to this, I've moved to an online platform to share some of my tried and true retreat activities. I've enjoyed creating virtual Sharing Circles and specially created Guided Meditations. Each meditation has a central theme and is designed to help you relax, calm your mind and find stillness in this turbulent, unsettling time. You can experience each theme online as a group during my scheduled sessions, but now you can also listen to them anytime you want.
